Duties: You will serve as Director of Curriculum Development and Faculty Development in the Civilian Education System (CES) at the Army Management Staff College. You will manage the Curriculum Development Program for resident and distributed learning courses. You will direct staff and faculty in the design, development, delivery and evaluation of all CES courses. This position requires technical expertise in instructional design, learning theory, instructional technology, and instructional and educational methods and practices. You will be required to educate and train staff and faculty on designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating courses that emphasize leadership, management, and decision making processes within functional roles throughout the Army. You will also manage a faculty development program to enhance instructor teaching skills, as well as instructors' subject-matter expertise and lesson writing capabilities. You supervise five instructional systems specialist.
About the Position: Serves as the Faculty Development (FD) and Curriculum Development (CD) Director at Army Management Staff College for the Civilian Education System (CES). Incumbent is an authoritative consultant and primary educator in the area of faculty development and curriculum development. Must have knowledge of educational/instructional practices to develop, sustain and enhance the professional skills of the faculty to provide leader development programs for the Army Civilian Corps. Uses professional knowledge of Instructional Systems Design process to lead, direct and manage the design and development of the Civilian Education System courses at the Army Management Staff College.

Specialized Experience: The best qualified candidates for this job must show in their resume that they meet the minimum qualifications of at least four (4) skills described below, ie. examples such as: Expert knowledge of faculty development and curriculum development policies and programs as they apply to the leader development program , curriculum design, instructional development, program evaluation, experiential learning, educational and training technology to design, develop, implement and evaluate instructional programs which are extremely complex. Also should have expert knowledge of a very broad range of instructional methods and strategies sufficient to independently ensure the ISD process is utilized in a dL environment.
GS-12 and above: One year of experience directly related to the occupation and equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. There is no substitution of education for experience at this level. The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened for the Office of Personnel Management's basic qualifications requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of this position as described in this vacancy announcement. One year of experience in the same or similar work equivalent to at least the next lower grade or level requiring application of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position being filled.
